Available for purchase in the game store, Minecoins let you buy content from creators in the Minecraft Marketplace, which is safer and more secure. Coins are kept in your virtual wallet and can be used across devices when you're signed into Xbox Live.*
With your free Xbox Live player profile, each purchase you make is also tied to your account. You can play with friends and show off your marketplace maps and skins!

ON WHICH DEVICES IS MINECRAFT MARKETPLACE AVAILABLE?
Minecraft Marketplace is available on any device running the Bedrock version of Minecraft (any version of Minecraft that doesn't have "Edition" in the name). These include:

HOW DO I PURCHASE MINECOINS?
To purchase Minecoins, you must have a payment method set up in your device. The first time you try to purchase something, you'll be asked to add a payment method if you haven't already. Otherwise, when you sign in to make your purchase, you'll be reminded which payment method you've previously added.
Your payment method will vary depending on which device you're using to make a purchase. In all cases, by signing in with your Xbox Live account, you'll be able to access your Minecoins on any Minecraft device.*
For example, if you play on both a Windows 10 device and an iPhone and purchase Minecoins on your iPhone, you'll pay for the coins using your Apple Store account. Later, when you play on your Windows 10 device, your coins will be available along with any purchases that you made in the Minecraft Marketplace. If you then decide to purchase more Minecoins on your Windows 10 device, you'll pay for them using your Microsoft account and your coins and purchases will be available the next time you play on your iPhone. If you later purchase a Fire TV, everything will also appear there when you sign in with your Xbox Live account.
Note If you're a parent with associated child accounts, make sure that you make purchases with your own account, as child accounts do not provide a payment method for this.

WHAT PLATFORMS DO MINECOIN AND MARKETPLACE CONTENT CODES WORK ON?
Minecoins and Marketplace content are available on Android, iOS (iPhone and iPad), Amazon Kindle Fire, Amazon Fire TV, Gear VR, Oculus Rift, Windows Mixed Reality, Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
DO I NEED AN XBOX LIVE ACCOUNT?
You don't need an Xbox Live account to make purchases in the marketplace, however a free Xbox Live player profile will allow your Minecoins and your Marketplace content to be available to you on any supported platform (any version of Minecraft without "Edition" in the name). That way, you can use coins and maps you buy across other devices, as long as you're logged in. If you don't have an account, you can create one by going to https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/minecraft/sign-up and following the steps to create a new free account.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT ACCOUNT I USE FOR MINECRAFT?
When logged in to Minecraft you will see your Gamertag on the title screen and at the top of the Marketplace.
WHAT CAN I SPEND MINECOINS ON?
You can purchase all in-game content and add-ons using Minecoins, including Skin Packs, Character Packs, and Minecraft Worlds created by the community.
Note You can't use Minecoins to purchase Minecraft Realms, but you can purchase a subscription for Realms using the default payment method on your account.
I DIDN'T RECEIVE THE MINECOINS THAT I PURCHASED. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If you purchased on your Windows 10 device:
- Sign in at account.microsoft.com and check your recent purchases.
- If you see a completed purchase, restart your device as it may need to be updated.
- If you have another device running Minecraft, sign in on that device to see if your purchase appears there.
- If the purchase appears, there may be a problem on your device. Make sure that you're signed in with the same account used to complete the purchase.
- If the purchase doesn't appear, contact Xbox Support.

- If you purchased from Apple Store (iPhone or iPad), go to the iTunes Store.

CAN MINECOINS BE REFUNDED?
All Minecraft Coin purchases are final. However, if an unauthorized purchase was made by someone else, contact Store support for the device that made the purchase.
- For Microsoft Store purchases, contact Microsoft Support.
- For Apple Store purchases, go to the Apple Store.
- For Google Play purchases, contact the Google Play Store.
- For Kindle Fire or Kindle Fire TV purchases, contact the Amazon Store.
CAN I GIFT MINECOINS TO SOMEONE?
There is currently no way to gift Minecoins directly. If you want to give someone Minecoins, you can purchase gift vouchers for online stores and platforms where Minecoins are currently being used. The recipient can then use these vouchers to credit their account and exchange for Minecoins. Minecoins can only be used on the account they were purchased or redeemed. For example, if you want to gift someone who plays Minecraft for 10, you can purchase a gift card from participating retailers. This can then be redeemed and exchanged by the recipient for Minecoins.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD MINECRAFT SKINS
Step 1. Launch your web browser from the Start menu, desktop, or a taskbar.
Step 2. Navigate to the main page of our site
Step 3. Browse through the skins we are offering you and once you have made up your mind about it, click on a skin that attracts your attention.
Step 4. Click on the 'Download' button which is the big green button on the right side of the page of a certain skin. Make sure that the file you are downloading is in the PNG format.
Step 5. Click 'Save'. Do not forget to make sure that you remember the folder you have downloaded your new skin into.
HOW TO UPLOAD A SKIN INTO THE GAME OF MINECRAFT
Now that you are done with either crafting a new skin or downloading a pre-made one, you can upload it into Minecraft! Here's a step-by-step on how to do this.
Step 1. Launch Minecraft from your desktop, Start menu, or taskbar.
Step 2. Click the hanger icon which is located beneath the avatar of your character.
Step 3. Click the blank model, which is beneath the 'Default' field.
Step 4. Click 'Choose New Skin'.
Step 5. Navigate to your Downloads folder or to the one you have saved your new custom skin into.
Step 6. Click on the skin file you want to upload.
Step 7. Click the 'Open' button.
Step 8. Click the model type that you think looks best.
Step 9. Click 'Confirm Skin'.
Congrats! You now have a new look!
